
ABOUT EPIC FEST: FEATURING FLIGHT OF THE MONARCH
The City of Grand Prairie Parks, Arts & Recreation Department is hosting the first ever Epic Fest: Featuring Flight of the Monarch, in Grand Prairie, Texas. This free event is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, September 21-22 at EpicCentral, 2960 Epic Place (formerly known as GrandCentral), the Grand Lawn Amphitheater, and surrounding facilities to welcome everyone to the new park, highlight the Flight of the Monarch and educate the community on all diverse cultures and backgrounds that make up Grand Prairie. Along with our selected performers, the festival will celebrate the culture, nature and arts of Grand Prairie with headlining performances by the Kumbia Kings and Sister Hazel. Also included in the weekend lineup are The Tejas Brothers, Monica Saldivar, Cleghorn, Bird Dogs, Petty Theft, and many others. Be sure to enjoy a variety of Flight of the Monarch activities including monarch butterfly releases, live entertainment, educational components, multi-cultural performances, vendors, lawn games, food, and beer gardens.

PARKING INFORMATION
Parking will be available at Dubiski High School 2990 State Hwy 161, Grand Prairie, TX 75051 with shuttles to and from EpicCentral. Shuttles will run Friday from 5:30pm – 12:00am and Saturday from 9:00am – 12:00am. NO COOLERS, GLASS OR ALCOHOL PERMITTED ON EVENT PROPERTY.
FLIGHT OF THE MONARCH BUTTERFLY RELEASES (SATURDAY ONLY)
The Flight of the Monarch Butterfly Releases will take place Saturday, September 22 in EpicCentral at the Monarch stage. 12:00 pm, 2:00 pm & 4:00 pm
