Event Details

On Tuesday July 31st, the Grand Prairie Parks, Arts & Recreation Department will conduct a Community Meeting to present to the public the Consensus Master Plan illustrating long term improvements to Grand Prairie’s oldest park – Turner Park.  Community Meetings were held Tuesday April 10th and Wednesday June 20th where citizens spoke and made requests for improvements to the park.  Dunaway Associates, a consulting firm will present the conceptual Master Plan based on site conditions, current and historical recreation trends, citizen input, and staff recommendations.  The park’s natural topography and native vegetation provides a unique character to this major city park.  Staff welcomes citizen comments after presentation from the consultant.

  • Named after Mayor G.H. Turner who was elected in 1923
