
Head Coach Addie Carr
Coach Addie has been a swim coach for 28 years, starting her swimming journey at age 9 with Hilo Swim Club in Hawaii. She later swam at the collegiate level for New Mexico Highlands University. She values the opportunity to teach her swimmers important life skills through the sport and enjoys celebrating their individual milestones and growth into young adults. Her favorite stroke is backstroke. A fun fact about Coach Addie is that she loves McDonald’s French fries and enjoys reading and gardening in her free time.

Lead Coach Hailey Melendez
Coach Hailey started swimming at 14 for Bowie High School. She appreciates the passion her Splash swimmers have for the sport and enjoys seeing their hard work and dedication. She emphasizes kindness and support within the team. Her favorite stroke is backstroke, and she enjoys swimming in the 200 Medley relay. A fun fact about Coach Hailey is that she loves participating in community service projects.

Coach Austin Nguyen
Coach Austin began swimming at age 5 with Splash and now serves as captain of both the South Grand Prairie High School swim team and water polo team. He enjoys witnessing the growth of his team and fellow coaches, and he is inspired by his swimmers to continually improve the Splash Team. His favorite stroke is freestyle, and he also plays water polo for the USA Team North Texas Thunder.

Coach Brianna Flores
Coach Brianna began swimming as a freshman at James Bowie High School and also competes with the Arlington Aquatics Club. Her favorite stroke is freestyle, and she focuses primarily on the 200 and 500 freestyle events, though she’s skilled in everything from butterfly to backstroke. She loves teaching others the art of swimming, and a fun fact about her is that she enjoys crocheting in her free time.

Coach Han Le
Coach Han is one of our only coaches to have previously been on the Splash Swim Team as a swimmer. She is great at helping fix issues with technique in all strokes and knows what it takes to win in our TAAF Swim Meets. A couple of facts about Han is that she has a younger brother who is on the swim team, and she can play 3 instruments.
