Enroll today for this monthly clinic by Colcross Athletics. Learning outcomes and improvements covered will be shooting, passing, ball handling, defense, confidence and leadership.

The after-school program meets five days a week at Charley Taylor Recreation Center. The program picks up at Lee Elementary, Hobbs Williams Elementary and Crockett Elementary School every day after-school and is targeted for ages 6-12. Program is $20/week per child (LEE) $30/week (Williams and Crockett) includes homework help, daily snack, activity/play time and much more. Program will pick up kids on school early release days. Charley Taylor Recreation Center specializes in pre-kindergarten sports for children ages 3-5 years. For all leagues, you must make a payment in order to reserve your child’s spot. Charley Taylor Recreation Center offers adult classes throughout the year whether it be for gardening/landscaping to dance classes. Click above for the latest news on these classes.

Charley Taylor Recreation Center has three multi-purpose rooms that can be rented out for birthday parties, reunions, baby showers and more. Rentals must be made two weeks in advance.

Ages 6+. This class is preserving Latino culture and history through dance and education using Hispanic traditions from North, Central, and South America, and the Caribbean. Our promise is to offer top notch quality for everyone to enjoy and learn! Amor A Nuestra Cultura has experience with various internationally recognized Ballet Folklorico instructors.

Beginners: Wednesday nights from 6-7pm  $35/month
Advanced: Fridays from 6pm-8pm & Saturdays from 12pm-2pm $35/month

Ages 6-12. A+ Dance Class teaches a variety of different dances such as modern, ballet, hip hop and praise dance. These dance classes will get you out of your seat and on your feet! Hip-hop and praise dance classes emphasize modern movement with a vivacious urban feel. Every Monday from 6-7pm.
Fee: $25/month

Classes held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-7pm. Fee is $45/month.

Texas Plan – This plan provides you with access to the Charley Taylor Facility and any free class that we offer. It does not include access to the weight room, and fee-based classes. All recreation center members must present their recreation ID card each time they come in to use the facility.. Please check in with staff when you arrive.

The Texas membership is also valid for use during open gym play at the Tony Shotwell Life Center as well as at Dalworth Recreation Center. Additional Membership plans are available through the Tony Shotwell Life Center. Please contact each center for gym availability. Any individual under the age of 18 may get a free snack Monday-Friday between the hour of 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Check out the latest classes being offered throughout the city.

Weight Room Memberships – This center offers a very personalized weight room with all of your basic equipment for a complete workout. Weight room includes but not limited to elliptical machine, treadmill, lap-pull down, bench press, bicycle and complimentary towel service.
