Established in 1959, Dalworth Recreation Center has offered community fun and support for generations.

We offer a wide range of classes and activities for all ages.  From karate to arts and crafts, special events, dance, gymnastics, and exercise/wellness.

Memberships

The Texas Plan allows for access to the Dalworth Recreation Center, use of the game room, study room, and gymnasium during open play, and allows for meeting room rentals and program registration.  Day passes are available for $4 (Grand Prairie residents) and $6 (non-residents).

The Prairie Plan allows for access into the building and use of the game room, study room, and gymnasium during open play, and it allows for meeting room rentals and program registration. The Prairie Plan can be used at Tony Shotwell Life Center, Dalworth Recreation Center, and Charley Taylor Recreation Center.

rental fees

All Rental Fees are due at the time of reservation. Rentals must be made at least two weeks before the event. Cancellations must be completed one week before the event for a full refund.

Check with staff for computer availability board games, and check out equipment such as hula hoops, balls, etc. For updates and questions about classes or events, call 972-237-4760.

Annual Texas Plan Membership is required.

Open Play Pickleball

Ages 16+
Wednesday 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
An active Pickleball Membership ($10/Year) is required to participate.

Youth Volleyball

Youth Volleyball registration is now open, and we welcome participants aged 12 to 15.
Season starts March 30. The fee for new individual registrations, including a jersey, is $65.

Charley Taylor is seeking music, craft, theatre arts, personal training, and pre-K learning instructors! Enriching people’s lives and earning some extra income.
